What I'd Do Differently
If I could redo this project, I'd start with the sample data templates from day one instead of spending the first two weeks optimizing the existing form flow. We burned valuable time making incremental improvements to a fundamentally broken approach. I'd also invest more in the "progressive configuration" moments — the contextual prompts that appear as users explore. We shipped those with minimal testing under deadline pressure, and some of them feel abrupt. Finally, I'd push harder for a cohort-based rollout instead of the full launch we did. We got lucky that the new flow performed well immediately, but a phased rollout would have given us a safety net and better data on which template resonated most.
